TechFlow news, August 4 — According to PeckShield monitoring, CrediX suffered a security breach today as hackers exploited an admin account with multi-admin privileges. This account held permissions for pool management, cross-chain bridge operations, asset listings, emergency actions, and more.
The attacker primarily abused the cross-chain bridge (BRIDGE) permission, causing approximately $4.5 million in losses from the pool assets, including the minting of uncollateralized acUSDC tokens.
Earlier reports indicate that CrediX has confirmed the security incident and is conducting an investigation, with detailed information to be released soon.
