TechFlow news, on August 4, Curve community member phil_00Llama recently proposed a "halt all future Layer 2 development" proposal, suggesting that already deployed L2s may remain, but further development should be terminated. He argued that L2 chains require maintenance efforts comparable to the Ethereum mainnet, yet generate minimal revenue (currently all L2s combined earn about $1,500 per day); L2 technology iterates extremely quickly and has a short-lived nature, resulting in high operational pressure; development teams could instead focus their efforts on more valuable areas.
