TechFlow news, August 1 — The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced today that it will allow retail investors to participate in trading crypto asset exchange-traded notes (crypto ETNs). The policy will take effect on October 8, 2025.
Under the rules, relevant products must be listed and traded on a UK investment exchange recognized by the FCA and must comply with financial promotion regulations. Notably, these products are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
