TechFlow news, July 16, according to Cointelegraph, Securitize and Cantor Fitzgerald announced a partnership to jointly develop a blockchain-supported IPO and subsequent equity issuance framework, enabling companies to raise funds through tokenized securities within the existing U.S. securities regulatory system. Securitize will provide tokenization infrastructure for issuing, distributing, and servicing digital securities, and its SEC-registered broker-dealer Securitize Markets will participate in the issuance and settlement processes.
Cantor will contribute its equity capital markets and trading capabilities. The current value of on-chain tokenized stocks has grown 16% to nearly $1.9 billion within 30 days, and DTCC also plans to pilot stock and Treasury tokenization services with nearly 40 financial institutions, covering ETF products such as Microsoft and Circle shares, and the S&P 500, indicating that traditional financial institutions are accelerating their expansion into the tokenized securities market.
