TechFlow news, August 1 — According to Cryptoslate, the Philippine government has officially launched a government document verification system built on the Polygon blockchain, aiming to modernize public services and enhance the credibility of national records.
The system, introduced by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on July 30, allows users to verify the authenticity of government documents such as Special Allotment Release Orders and Notices of Cash Allocation through cryptographic hash values stored on the Polygon blockchain. Developed in partnership with local blockchain company Bayanichain, users can verify document integrity via the official portal by scanning a QR code or entering a reference code.
