TechFlow, July 31 — Paul Atkins, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), published an article on the agency's official website responding to the White House's digital assets report. He stated that the President's Working Group (PWG) recommendations on crypto policy were developed following months of in-depth collaboration among multiple agencies. The SEC will continue to play a key role in shaping the federal framework, using its existing authority to establish new rules and regulations, and implementing any new legislation enacted by Congress.
Paul Atkins added that he will work with SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce and the cryptocurrency task force to prioritize these efforts, strengthening cooperation with the CFTC and other relevant federal agencies.
