TechFlow, July 30 — Daehong Communications, a subsidiary of South Korea's Lotte Group, announced the development of a "Money Movement" blockchain ecosystem for real-world economies based on Aptos. As one of South Korea’s largest retail and commercial conglomerates, Lotte Group operates across diverse sectors and possesses an extensive consumer network and significant market influence.
This collaboration integrates the Aptos blockchain into Giftiel, a mobile voucher service operated by Daehong’s subsidiary. Since the integration was completed in early July, over 500,000 users have held vouchers on the Aptos blockchain, with cumulative issuance surpassing one million. The entire lifecycle of vouchers—including issuance, distribution, and redemption—is now managed on-chain, delivering greater transparency and more reliable data management.
Leveraging Lotte Group’s broad range of business scenarios and Aptos’ high-performance blockchain infrastructure, this partnership is expected to expand into diversified services such as customer loyalty points, digital assets, and stablecoin-related offerings. As South Korea’s regulatory framework for stablecoins gradually takes shape, this "Money Movement" ecosystem holds potential to lay the foundation for future digital asset applications in the country.
