TechFlow news, July 28 — According to Fortune, security research firm Lab 1's latest report titled "Anatomy of a Data Breach" reveals that among 1,297 analyzed data breach incidents, 18% exposed encryption keys capable of bypassing authentication protections. The study conducted content-level analysis on 141,168,340 leaked files, focusing particularly on high-value information within unstructured documents.
Robin Brattel, CEO of Lab 1, pointed out that cybercriminals are increasingly applying data science techniques to extract such sensitive information, and the exposure of encryption keys could lead to severe security risks. This report represents the largest-scale content analysis of data breaches to date, highlighting the growing security threats facing encrypted assets.
