TechFlow, July 24 — According to The Block, Solana developers are considering proposal SIMD-0286 to increase the block limit from 60 million compute units to 100 million compute units, which would achieve a 66% capacity increase, provided validators opt into the upgrade. The proposal aims to further expand Solana's network capacity, enabling more transactions per second.
Compute units are the fundamental unit on the Solana network for measuring transaction complexity and resource consumption. Raising the block compute unit limit will directly enhance the network's transaction processing capability.
