TechFlow, on July 24, according to Jinshi Data, EU member states voted to approve retaliatory tariffs on $93 billion worth of U.S. products. The day before, on July 23, an EU Commission spokesperson stated publicly that the EU plans to merge two lists of retaliatory tariffs targeting U.S. exports into a single consolidated list totaling €93 billion. This list primarily covers high-value industrial products such as aircraft, automobiles, and electrical equipment. The combined package of retaliatory measures amounts to €93 billion. EU Commission spokesperson Olof Gill said on July 23 that if talks with the U.S. fail, the countermeasures will take effect from August 7.
