TechFlow news, July 22 — According to cryptocurrency journalist Eleanor Terrett, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott, Senators Cynthia Lummis, Bill Hagerty, and Bernie Moreno jointly released the long-awaited draft framework for discussing cryptocurrency market structure.
The draft was originally scheduled for release last week but was delayed due to disagreements within the House of Representatives. Building upon the already-passed House CLARITY Act and the Lummis-Gillibrand Act, the draft introduces new provisions regarding token classification, regulatory fragmentation, banking activities, disclosure requirements, and illicit finance.
