TechFlow news, July 22 — According to The Block, xTAO Corp. announced today it has received final approval to list on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) in Canada on July 23 under the ticker XTAO.U. The company also completed a $22.8 million funding round from prominent digital asset venture firms including Digital Currency Group (DCG), Animoca Brands, Arca, Borderless Capital, and FalconX.
Founded by Karia Samaroo, former CEO and Chair of Canadian crypto exchange WonderFi, xTAO aims to advance the Bittensor ecosystem by developing data, computing, and machine learning models. Bittensor, often described as "Bitcoin for AI," is a decentralized artificial intelligence platform that rewards users with TAO tokens for contributing intelligence.
DCG founder Barry Silbert previously stated that TAO, Bittensor's native token, has the potential to become the next Bitcoin. DCG established an artificial intelligence subsidiary, Yuma, in November last year dedicated to supporting Bittensor's growth.
