TechFlow news, July 22 — According to Decrypt, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev recently acknowledged controversy surrounding the company's launch of OpenAI tokenized stocks but stated the firm remains committed to expanding this business. Earlier, OpenAI strongly opposed the unauthorized tokenized shares, and the U.S. SEC issued a warning stating that tokenized securities are still subject to federal securities laws.
Tenev said: "Being the first platform to actually tokenize these great companies is an important milestone. Whenever you pioneer something meaningful, there will always be some controversy." He plans to extend this model to thousands of private companies and integrate it with DeFi markets.
