TechFlow news, July 20: According to a blog post by Hong Kong's Financial Secretary Paul Chan, "The HKSAR government has positioned artificial intelligence as a key industry—ranging from strongly supporting fundamental research to promoting commercialization of research outcomes, from nurturing local startups to attracting global leading technology companies to establish operations in Hong Kong, and from accelerating the development of the Northern Metropolis to enhancing innovation and technology collaboration with fellow Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area cities. Hong Kong's innovation and technology sector now has a solid blueprint. The SAR government will stay focused, follow through on this plan, and ensure that the innovation and technology industry provides more diverse and high-quality career opportunities for Hong Kong's youth."
