TechFlow, July 16 — According to Jinshi Data, U.S. President Trump recently stated: "Fed Chair Powell has consistently acted too late and performed poorly, and we will continue to face challenges." When asked whether he plans to fire Fed Chair Powell, Trump said: "No plans. But changes will happen within the next eight months, and we will appoint someone who performs well. We are considering having Hasset, Director of the White House National Economic Council, take on a Federal Reserve-related position. I am only interested in a 'low-rate person' serving as Fed Chair."
Earlier, The New York Times reported that U.S. President Trump had drafted a letter to dismiss Fed Chair Powell.
