TechFlow, July 15 — According to Jinshi Data, the Bank of America's July global fund manager survey indicates that U.S. Treasury Secretary Besent is the leading candidate to succeed Federal Reserve Chair Powell.
President Trump is expected to nominate a new Fed chair in the second half of 2025, as Powell's term ends in May 2026.
The survey shows that 26% of respondents believe Besent will become the next Fed chair, followed by 17% supporting Walsh, 14% backing Barr, and 7% expecting Hasset to be appointed.
