TechFlow, July 15 — According to Simon Gerovich, CEO of Metaplanet, National Financial Services LLC (NFS) has become the largest shareholder of Metaplanet, a Japanese-listed company. As of June 30, NFS held 84.4 million shares of Metaplanet, representing 12.9% of the company's total shares, valued at approximately 130 billion yen (equivalent to $820 million).
NFS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fidelity Investments and primarily serves as a custodian for retail and institutional investors purchasing stocks through the Fidelity platform. Gerovich noted that Metaplanet's shareholder structure continues to evolve with expanded global market access.
