TechFlow, July 13 — According to Jinshi Data, analysts said that after several months of low inflation, U.S. consumers may have experienced a slight acceleration in price increases in June as businesses began passing on higher import costs linked to tariffs. A survey of economists by institutions expects prices for goods and services excluding volatile food and energy costs rose 0.3% in June, the largest gain in five months. Core CPI rose just 0.1% in May. While next Tuesday's report may only show a modest pass-through of U.S. import tariff costs to consumers, many economists anticipate inflation will gradually rebound over time. Meanwhile, many retailers remain hesitant to raise prices, as American consumers grow more cautious in spending following a cooling labor market, creating a delicate balance.
