TechFlow news, July 13 — According to Cryptoslate, Thai-listed company DV8 Public Company Limited announced the appointment of Chatchaval Jiaravanon, chairman of Fortune Media and member of the Charoen Pokphand Group, as its new chairman, marking its official entry into Bitcoin and DeFi banking.
Jiaravanon previously founded blockchain company Lightnet, which provides low-cost remittance services for Southeast Asian migrants. He will lead DV8 in building an integrated crypto digital bank, advancing Bitcoin-centric financial practices, and investing in DeFi, digital infrastructure, and corporate governance innovation.
The leadership reshuffle follows DV8's acquisition by a crypto investment consortium including Sora Ventures, UTXO Management, and Kliff Capital, with all investors agreeing to a 12-month lock-up period.
