TechFlow, July 12 — Pulte, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, commented on rumors that Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell might resign, stating, "Reports indicating that Jerome Powell is considering resignation are encouraging to me. I believe this would be the right decision for the United States, and the economy will prosper as a result." Analyst Adam Button responded, "This is a strange statement because it references reports suggesting Powell is contemplating resignation, yet I cannot find any such reports. What's even more puzzling is that Pulte has long used social media to argue Powell should step down and even previewed this statement in advance—despite the so-called 'reports' cited in the statement being entirely unverifiable. His true intentions remain unclear, but notably, financial markets appear completely unmoved by this development."
