TechFlow, July 11 — According to Bloomberg, Nicholas Truglia, who was sentenced to 18 months in prison for participating in a $22 million cryptocurrency theft scheme, has had his sentence increased to 12 years after failing to fulfill his restitution commitment to victims. U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein issued the new ruling on Thursday, finding that Truglia willfully violated the agreement to pay nearly $20.4 million in restitution.
