TechFlow, July 10 — Kraken has announced an expansion of its services in Latin America, officially launching local currency payment channels in Argentina and Mexico. Users can now deposit Argentine pesos (ARS) and Mexican pesos (MXN) directly through local payment methods, with the system automatically converting them into USD, eliminating the need for international wire transfers.
Meanwhile, Kraken has obtained registration as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) from Argentina’s National Securities Commission (CNV), enabling compliant operations in the country. This move aims to serve two active cryptocurrency markets—Argentina, where inflation exceeds 200%, and Mexico, a frontier for blockchain innovation.
