TechFlow news, July 9 — According to Coinbase, the exchange has launched a new fiat onramp API, allowing developers to build customized fiat-to-crypto purchase experiences within their apps without pop-ups, redirects, or account logins.
The API is now live on partner Moonshot’s platform, enabling U.S. users to buy crypto via Apple Pay without creating a Coinbase account. Unlike traditional widget-based or hosted flows, Coinbase’s headless API allows apps to customize the user interface, reduce onboarding steps, and improve conversion rates.
Key features of the API include fast integration, Apple Pay support, and no requirement for Coinbase account login. Currently, it is available only to users in the United States.
