TechFlow news, July 8 — In response to controversies surrounding the UAE "Golden Visa" program, TON Foundation CEO Max Crown clarified again that the project was not directly initiated by the UAE government, but rather advanced through an authorized partner, and has not received official endorsement.
Binance founder Zhao Changpeng (CZ) commented that the project's marketing is misleading and key details should be clearly disclosed. He criticized the significant difference between messaging such as "obtain a visa with $35,000 + $100,000 in staking" versus the reality of "only being eligible to submit an application." Additionally, he pointed to malicious speculation on token prices, which is damaging the industry's reputation.
