Additionally, Ishiba instructed officials to continue negotiations with the U.S. on tariffs. The Japanese government will hold a headquarters meeting for comprehensive measures at the Prime Minister's Office to respond to U.S. President Trump's announcement of imposing 25% tariffs on Japanese imports. Ishiba will also attend the meeting and is expected to direct relevant cabinet members to continue negotiating for the removal of tariffs.
