TechFlow, on July 8, according to Jinshi Data, U.S. President Trump signed an executive order delaying the effective date of reciprocal tariffs and the negotiation deadline from July 9 to August 1.
In addition, he has issued initial tariff letters to 14 countries, imposing 25% tariffs on Japan and South Korea starting August 1, 25% tariffs on Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and Tunisia, a 30% rate on South Africa, and 40% tariffs on Laos and Myanmar.
Other affected countries include Indonesia (32%), Bangladesh (35%), Thailand and Cambodia (36%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (30%), and Serbia (35%).
Moreover, according to Politico cited by Jinshi, the U.S. has proposed a trade agreement plan imposing a 10% tariff on the EU, along with restrictive conditions.
