TechFlow news, July 6 — According to Decrypt, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of India has arrested a 35-year-old Kerala-based engineer, Edison, suspected of running the country's largest darknet drug trafficking network and using Monero to conceal transactions. Indian authorities seized over $82,000 worth of crypto assets during Operation "MELON". Over the past two years, the suspect allegedly operated a darknet drug ring under the alias "Ketamelon", sourcing drugs from global suppliers, laundering proceeds through the privacy coin Monero (XMR), and distributing narcotics across India.
