TechFlow, July 4 — According to The Block, House leadership announced on Thursday that the week of July 14 will be designated as "Crypto Week," during which three major cryptocurrency bills will be集中ly reviewed: the GENIUS stablecoin bill, the Digital Asset Market Structure bill, and a bill concerning central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
The GENIUS Act requires stablecoins to be fully backed by U.S. dollars or highly liquid assets and mandates annual audits for large issuers. The Digital Asset Market Structure bill aims to clarify regulatory responsibilities between the SEC and CFTC, while requiring digital asset firms to provide retail financial disclosures and to segregate company and customer funds.
House Speaker Mike Johnson stated these measures are "decisive steps toward fulfilling President Trump’s digital asset and cryptocurrency agenda." Trump previously demanded the stablecoin bill be delivered to his desk by August, and this "Crypto Week" schedule could help lawmakers meet that deadline.
