TechFlow, July 3 — According to The Block, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said the "stock tokens" issued by the company for OpenAI and SpaceX are actually derivatives rather than equities. Tenev clarified that these tokens are essentially financial derivative instruments tracking the valuations of the respective companies and do not represent direct ownership in these private firms.
Previous report, OpenAI denied authorizing Robinhood to launch tokenized shares related to it.
