TechFlow, July 3 — According to Decrypt, an iOS app called ICEBlock has drawn strong opposition from the U.S. government for allowing users to track and avoid activities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Attorney General Pam Bondi, in an interview with Fox News, stated that the app could endanger federal law enforcement officers and warned the developer to "be careful." ICEBlock developer Joshua Aaron maintains the app is intended to protect immigrant communities and has already been downloaded over 100,000 times.
