TechFlow news, on June 27, according to Jinshi Data, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said the Trump administration's trade agreement agenda could conclude before Labor Day (September 1), indicating that some negotiations might extend beyond the July 9 deadline. Speaking on a television program Friday, Bessent said, "There are countries coming to us with very good deals," echoing comments made the previous day by Commerce Secretary Lutnick that the White House is planning to finalize agreements with 10 major trading partners. Bessent reiterated there are 18 key trading partners, adding, "If we can reach agreements with 10 or 12 of these 18 key partners—plus another 20 significant ones—I believe we can complete the trade talks by Labor Day." He did not specify which countries he hopes to reach agreements with.
