TechFlow news, June 25 — According to the U.S. SEC meeting memo, a delegation from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) met with the cryptocurrency working group on June 24 to discuss regulatory issues related to crypto assets. NYSE representatives attending the meeting included General Counsel Jaime Klima, Chief Product Officer Jon Herrick, Deputy General Counsel Patrick Troy, and Chief Regulatory Officer Tony Frouge.
The meeting focused on three main topics: first, promoting a level playing field by emphasizing equality among market participants and avoiding different regulatory regimes for similar assets and entities; second, discussing considerations and structural frameworks for trading tokenized stocks; and third, exploring cryptocurrency exchange-traded products, including common listing standards for spot cryptocurrency ETFs and regulatory approaches for other potential crypto-based trading products.
