TechFlow, June 24 — Anthony Pompliano's bitcoin-native financial services firm, ProCap BTC, has rapidly acquired 3,724 bitcoins at a time-weighted average price of $103,785 per bitcoin, just one day after announcing a $1 billion merger agreement with Columbus Circle Capital Corp. I (Nasdaq: CCCM). The company stated this purchase is part of its ongoing bitcoin acquisition program aimed at providing investors with immediate exposure to bitcoin. According to prior announcements, the combined entity, ProCap Financial, is expected to hold up to $1 billion worth of bitcoin on its balance sheet upon completion of the merger. Pompliano believes "bitcoin is the new yield benchmark—if you can't outperform it, you must buy it."
