TechFlow news, June 18 — According to Cointelegraph, the Meta Pool crypto protocol was hacked. The attacker exploited vulnerabilities in the "fast unstaking" feature and the ERC4626 mint() function to successfully mint 9,705 mpETH tokens worth nearly $27 million. However, due to low liquidity in the affected pool, the hacker ultimately stole only about 52.5 ETH (approximately $132,000) from the liquidity pool. Meta Pool's early detection system promptly identified the incident and suspended the affected smart contracts, preventing further losses.
