TechFlow news, June 18 — According to Reuters, Spanish bank BBVA is advising its wealthy clients to allocate 3% to 7% of their portfolios to cryptocurrencies. Philippe Meyer, Head of Digital and Blockchain Solutions at BBVA Switzerland, said at the DigiAssets conference in London that the bank began recommending Bitcoin investments to private clients starting September 2024, and has since expanded its recommendation to include Ethereum, with plans to add more cryptocurrency assets later this year. As one of the few major global banks actively endorsing cryptocurrencies, BBVA believes that even a 3% allocation can significantly enhance portfolio performance while keeping risks manageable.
