TechFlow news, June 17 — According to Cointelegraph, on June 13, venture capital firm Paradigm submitted a supporting document to the New York district court defending Roman Storm, co-founder of Tornado Cash. Paradigm emphasized that the jury must clearly understand the legal definition of "operating a money transmission business," noting that prosecutors must prove Storm intended to operate such a business and had control over user funds. The firm warned that if Storm is convicted, it would severely hinder innovation in the cryptocurrency and fintech industries and could trigger negative ripple effects on open-source software development. Storm's trial is set to begin on July 14.
