TechFlow, June 15 — According to The Verge, several tech companies sponsored the U.S. military parade held on June 14. Based on a recent statement from the America250 Foundation, technology firms including cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, data analytics company Palantir, Oracle, and Amazon have become major sponsors of the event.
Critics argue that while the parade was ostensibly held to celebrate the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary, the date coincided with President Trump's 79th birthday.
The parade is estimated to have cost between $25 million and $45 million, partially funded by taxpayers, with tech companies financing celebratory activities along the parade route.
