TechFlow, June 14 — According to Reuters, the two largest cryptocurrency firms globally are about to receive licenses to operate across the European Union, as regulatory authorities grow increasingly divided over the speed and rigor with which certain countries are granting approvals.
Under the EU's new Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, member states can issue licenses allowing crypto firms to operate across all 27 EU countries. Gemini is nearing licensing approval from Malta, while Coinbase is close to receiving authorization from Luxembourg.
