TechFlow news, June 12 — According to CoinDesk, former FBI special agent Christopher Wong has joined blockchain intelligence firm TRM Labs as a global investigator. During his ten-year tenure at the FBI, Wong led the investigation into the 2016 Bitfinex hack, which resulted in the largest cryptocurrency seizure in U.S. history (USD 3.6 billion), and participated in the probe of the USD 600 million Axie Infinity Ronin Bridge theft linked to North Korea's Lazarus group. He recently traced USD 7.7 million in crypto funds tied to money laundering schemes involving North Korean IT workers. Ari Redbord, TRM Labs' head of global policy, said Wong will help clients and partners prevent criminals from exploiting innovative technologies for illicit activities.
