TechFlow news, on June 11, Péter Szilágyi, former team lead of Ethereum's primary client Geth, and Tomasz Stańczak, co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation (EF), recently engaged in a public dispute on social media. Szilágyi revealed that EF had repeatedly proposed a $5 million offer for the Geth team to operate independently, which his team declined. Previously, EF had provided an equivalent unconditional financial support to another client developer, Parity, indicating the foundation's intention to reduce reliance on a single client. In response to the controversy, Stańczak posted a clarification: "There is no plan to remove Geth. It is a great client software and a talented team contributing to protocol security. We will continue to maintain and support Geth."
