TechFlow, June 9 — According to CoinDesk, MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor recently stated on CNBC that the Bitcoin network will ultimately eliminate the threat of quantum computing through software upgrades.
Although BlackRock has warned that quantum computers could threaten Bitcoin's cryptographic system, Saylor believes this is primarily a marketing tactic, noting: "Google and Microsoft won't sell computers capable of breaking modern cryptography because it would destroy themselves, along with the U.S. government and banking systems."
Several proposals to address quantum threats are already underway, including a draft Bitcoin Improvement Proposal suggesting a hard fork to migrate all wallets to quantum-resistant addresses. Saylor emphasized that Bitcoin, as a protocol, undergoes software upgrades annually, and他认为 phishing attacks pose a far greater security risk.
