Although the Trump administration has attempted to facilitate peace by repairing U.S.-Russia relations and reducing aid to Ukraine, Putin has not shown willingness to accept Ukraine's conditions. Trump warned that if the conflict continues, both sides could face U.S. sanctions, while suggesting cooperation with Moscow on the Iranian nuclear issue even if the war persists.
