TechFlow news, on June 5, according to Decrypt, Amazon announced on Wednesday its plan to invest $10 billion in building a new data center in North Carolina to expand its artificial intelligence and cloud computing infrastructure. The investment is expected to create at least 500 high-skilled jobs and significantly boost the local economy. North Carolina Governor Josh Stein called it "one of the largest investments in state history."
In addition to data center construction, Amazon is also developing humanoid robots for delivery tasks and has established a "humanoid park" at its San Francisco office for testing. Experts warn that such large-scale infrastructure investments could lead to further concentration of AI innovation in the hands of major tech companies.
