TechFlow news, on June 5, Avery Ching, CEO of Aptos Labs, was invited to attend a U.S. Congressional hearing yesterday, where he stated that digital assets are not merely speculative tools, but neutral infrastructure driving the development of the next-generation internet. This type of infrastructure features transparency, programmability, openness, and verifiability, and is gradually evolving into a global digital public utility.
Avery pointed out that digital assets are providing critical support for functions difficult to achieve within traditional systems, such as global governance and efficient payments. He believes this new infrastructure will become core foundational technology supporting future societies, just like electricity, water, and roads. Tokens, as the "lifeblood" of decentralized systems, are essential elements ensuring the stable operation of blockchains and their decentralized applications (DApps).
