TechFlow news, June 3 — According to an official announcement, the first season of Sonic ($S) airdrop will distribute a total of 190.5 million S tokens to users to incentivize participation from users and developers in its ecosystem. The airdrop will also reward participants in past Opera events, Sonic Arcade users, and Shard NFT minter.
The first batch of airdrops will become claimable six months after Sonic's launch (around June 2025). Users can immediately claim 25% of their allocation, while the remaining 75% will be linearly released via NFTs over a period of 270 days. Early claiming of the locked portion will incur a penalty in the form of token burning, with the burn rate decreasing over time.
