TechFlow news, on June 2, on-chain investigator ZachXBT tweeted that the source of 300 BTC received by Ross Ulbricht, founder of the Silk Road darknet market, appears to be linked to two addresses (1Mp5hH and 1CNDW), which are respectively associated with exchange activities from 2014 and 2019, and 1CNDW was previously flagged as suspicious by compliance tools. Both addresses were dormant from November 2019 to April–May 2025, then reactivated via deposits through Jambler, coinciding with the timing of Ross's received donation. ZachXBT believes this donation was not self-funded but has suspicious origins.
