TechFlow news, on May 31, according to Jinshi News, at a rally held in Pennsylvania on May 30 local time, U.S. President Trump stated he would raise tariffs on imported steel from 25% to 50%.
Later, Trump posted on social media that the decision would take effect starting June 4. On the same day, the White House announced on social media, "To further protect the American steel industry from foreign and unfair competition, starting next week, U.S. tariffs on imported steel will increase from 25% to 50%."
