TechFlow news, May 30 — According to a recent poll commissioned by Digital Currency Group (DCG) and conducted by Harris Poll, as high as 77% of American respondents believe decentralized artificial intelligence is more beneficial overall to society. The survey was carried out from April 21 to 25, 2025, with 2,036 Americans participating.
The results show that 75% of respondents consider decentralized AI to be more trustworthy, and 75% believe it better supports innovation and progress. In contrast, 67% think centralized AI is more likely to be biased, while 63% believe it benefits tech giants over ordinary users and is more prone to irresponsible use of consumer data.
"Three-quarters of Americans believe the transformative power of AI will benefit more people if not monopolized by a handful of major corporations," said Julie Stitzel, DCG's Senior Vice President of Policy.
