TechFlow news, May 29 — According to CoinDesk, Bergen County in New Jersey will sign a five-year agreement with blockchain software company Balcony to migrate the county’s entire property records system onto the Avalanche network. This will be the largest property deed tokenization project in the United States.
The project will transfer approximately 370,000 property deeds—valued at around $240 billion—onto an immutable and searchable blockchain ledger built on Avalanche. The system will serve nearly one million residents across 70 municipalities. According to Balcony, its blockchain platform can reduce deed processing time by 90% while lowering risks such as fraud and record discrepancies.
