Official data shows that Claude Opus 4 scored 72.5% on the SWE-bench coding benchmark, surpassing OpenAI's GPT-4.1 (54.6%) and Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro (63.2%). The model supports nearly seven hours of continuous coding tasks, features a context window approaching one million tokens, and has the capability to invoke tools during complex reasoning processes. In terms of pricing, Claude Opus 4 costs $75 per million output tokens, a significant difference compared to some open-source alternatives such as DeepSeek R1 at $3. Additionally, GitHub has confirmed that Claude Sonnet 4 will serve as the foundational model for its new Copilot coding assistant.
